Johnny Cupcakes's Testimonial

I graduated high school and tried out college. I wasn’t sure it was the right decision as the time. I have borderline A.D.D. so focusing was always an issue for me. Also I can't really participate in the most common college sport (i.e. partying) because I don't drink or do drugs.

Less than a semester later I decided to take a break from school. I then started up a pin business designing pins, buttons, and badges for bands and businesses. I made random designs and sold them at hardcore shows and various shops. I even had a small crew of kids that would buy them from me wholesale and sell them at their schools. I began keeping a nice little database of all my clients. In addition to the pins, I worked once or twice a week at a silk screening shop as well as a record shop called "Newbury Comics". Almost every day when I went into work, I was given a different, completely random nickname for no reason whatsoever. I guess Johnny is an easy name to throw just about any word at the end of it? 'Johnny Appleseed', 'Johnny Coffeecakes', 'Johnny Cupcakes', 'Johnny Pancakes', etc... While working at the silk screening shop making t-shirts for the metal/hardcore band I use to be in, I thought it would be funny to make a couple random shirts that said 'Johnny Cupcakes' on them for the fun of it. So I did. www.johnnycupcakes.com/

Starting My Own Business

The type of business I am starting is clothing line/graphic design business, The name of my business is Crazygoodz and I have three other friends that are part of my business, we will be providing graphic design services for all clients and retail services. The graphic design services such as flyers, business cards, posters, logos and more and our retail services will provide clothing from our own clothing line. First I would have to start with a business plan. A business plan is basically a written plan or strategies on how you will you run your business and reach your business goals. The way I plan to market my business out there is by advertising my business in posters, flyers, magazines, billboards, social networks like Myspace, Facebook, Twitter, have my own website and more. Also by hosting/organizing/promoting parties and other events like fashion shows, art shows and community fundraisers it will get the name of my business out there. The advertisement and the parties/events it's what is going to build my company into an officially brand, and that is when I will be able to launch my clothing line based on my brand. In a year or two I see my business coming off the ground and being known locally and in five or more years I see my business expanding nationally and financially growing and clothing line in stores. In stores like Macy's, Expressions, Manhattan clothing, web clothing stores and more and eventually have my own my own retail clothing store around the country...
